The Herdade Paço do Conde has been in the hands of the same family for more than three centuries. Today, the Castelo Branco brothers continue to manage the farm and develop the winery and olive-oil mill, the mainstays of the enterprise.
A passion for the earth brings a deep respect for nature and the environment which was bequeathed to us. The entire estate forms part of a game reserve which, combined with the integrated production system of farming, provides for the conservation of the fauna and flora. Our love of the land and our vocation is patent in every bottle of wine and olive oil produced.
The estate occupies approximately 3,000 hectares on the banks of the River Guadiana in the Baixo Alentejo region of southern Portugal.
Grapes, olives, cereals, horticultural produce are all produced on the estate and there is also pasture for cattle.
